When it comes to fixing the roofs, there are tons of work nuances that must be taken into account. Most of our customers tend to know some of them, so we always have a good deal of questions asked all the time. To make life easier both for our clients and for ourselves, we've compiled an ultimate list of the mist frequently asked questions, which is what you can see yourself on this page.

Q: How can I tell if my roof needs to be repaired?

A: Most of people often neglect their roofing system until such issues as leaking surface or other serious damage occurs. Mainly, roofing issues can be discovered way before major (and expensive) problems come up. If you notice cracked, warped or missing shingles or roof tile, broken flashing, loose seams, or large amounts of shingle granules stuck in the rain gutter, it all means the time has come to do some proper maintenance for your roof.. Such telling signs as the cracked paint, peeling wallpaper or wall coverings, and discolored plasterboard can also indicate roof damage, as it means that some kind of leaking has happened.

Q: How can I see that I need to completely replace my roof?

A: But that all was regarding a maintenance checkups and repairs. Now, concerning the replacement cases, there are a few ways to determine if it’s time to replace your roofing system.

Age: Roofing systems generally last around 2 decades. If your roof gets close-by to this threshold of 20 years of age, it’s near the end of its lineage.

Leaks: If there is some damage inside your home, that you can attribute to a water damage caused by leaking than there probably is a problem... Q: How long will my roof system last?

A: Modern roofing systems by its construction & design measures live just as long as dogs - so from 15 to 20 years would be just as accurate as it gets. A few types of roofs, mainly clay tile, slate, and copper, can actually be at your service a bit longer if regularly maintained. The life of your roof system will be determined by environmental factors and weather, proper installation & design, material quality, and adequate maintenance and repairs. Roofing material warranties can vary greatly so take a look at a manufacturer’s warranty programs before you buy anything.

Q: Will I have to replace rain gutters and downspouts at the same time?

A: If your gutters and downspouts look undamaged and ok, our roofing contractors will work around them. To avoid damaging them, we don’t usually remove and reinstall them once your roof is complete. If your gutters are in relatively good shape but need minor repair, that is not a problem as well. Our company is proud to be a full-service roofing contractor.

Q: How long will it take a roofing company to install my new roof?

A: Of course there are a few additional nuances that affect all roofing projects. These may include things like weather, whether or not there is a second layer to remove and more. But typically, our contractors are completely finished with your new roof—from removing the old roof to clean up—in three or four days tops...

Q: Can I do the work myself?

A: Though it may be tempting to try and do the work all on your own, most work should not be done yourself. Professional roofing contractors are meant to safely and efficiently repair or replace roof systems. Also, that may be a bad idea as with little to no practical experience in the matter you can damage your roof system by using improper roofing techniques and severely injure yourself by falling off or through the roof.

Q: Why is my roofing leaking?

A: When we're talking about the roofs that our company installs, then they all have a normal weathering of asphalt roofing shingles.  This means no leaking will be let in.

Causes: Flashings are critical areas that must be waterproof to avoid leaks. These are the areas most frequently identified as the causes of leaks.

Damaged shingles leave the roof exposed to leaks and should be repaired without delay.

As tot the air conditioning and air ventilation, if not done properly it can cause ice damming, frost and condensation stockpiling.

Q: Do I need to be home while the work is being done?

A: No, in fact, most of our customers even trust us with the keys to their homes, while just a small percentage likes to stay at home and watch the progress...
